Keon Berry is the kid every adult is referring to when they’re illustrating an example of what will happen to you for picking on the “nerd” in the class. Let us break this down simply:
Keon enrolled into Supreme Athlete as a freshman. He was not the most talented “athlete” but he was for certain the most gifted “scholar” and “being”. All of the volunteers during that time agreed that he would easily be a mayor, principal, or even president without question. Now, of course his peers didn’t have foresight to overstand how amazing this young man was because they were too immature or easily influenced by the negative attractions. Not Keon. This young man spoke his truth to power at every moment he got. Very confident in his intellect, very enthused about knowledge in general. This kid was terrific at every level from a righteous standpoint. Don’t mistaken me for perfection, that’s not what he was, but progression – absolutely! He knew who he was at a early stage and as a result of that he quit football his senior year and focused all of his attention on academics (as if he didn’t already maintain a damn 4.0) lol… The kid was just in love with information and progress as a Black man in a society that doesn’t really encourage it. As an adult I would sit back and listen to the typical teenager antics toward him (haters, non supporters, somewhat bullying behaviors) but I knew they would all pay for that in the later years. His foundation (family) was so strong and supportive he had no option but to win man. Such a beautiful thing to watch unfold.
Fast forward: Keon gets into the prestigious Morehouse College (of course he goes there lol) joins a fraternity and quickly moves up the ranks in that fraternity. Now Keon’s Pop’n in Atlanta and all those so called nay-sayers and haters want to be showing love as if they weren’t the ones making fun of him lol. As of recently he got an early accepted into another prestigious university Norte Dame on a full ride Lol. We can’t make this up. The young man is a genius and y’all don’t even realize it yet.
We’ve had a bunch of kids earn D1 Scholarships, but Keon’s accomplishments thus far is the #1 out of all of theirs. Not even close. The kid is making his parents proud on so many levels. His parents should write a book on how they did it. Not to mention they have another son who’s official also and is preparing to build his own school. They are amazing!
