Duke senior linebacker Koby Quansah has accepted an invitation to participate in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl set for January 18, 2020.

He will join redshirt senior defensive tackle Trevon McSwain at the ninth annual game that takes place at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif. The contest will air live on NFL Network with a kickoff time of 4 p.m. PT.

Quansah and McSwain become the fourth and fifth Blue Devils to earn invitations to the game, joining Takoby Cofield (2014), Max McCaffrey (2015) and Breon Borders (2016).

Quansah, a third team All-ACC honoree, ranks fifth in the ACC in total tackles (105) and tackles per game (8.75) as well as tied for 11th in tackles for loss per outing (1.00). The 6-1, 230-pound senior from Manchester, Conn., was selected the ACC Linebacker of the Week on Sept. 30 after registering 13 tackles, 0.5 sack and one fumble recovery in a win over Virginia Tech. He tallied six games with double-digit tackles, including a 13-tackle performance against the Hokies. The linebacker finished with 105 tackles, 12.0 TFL, 2.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries on the year.

With his team-high 105 tackles this season, Quansah became the ninth linebacker in the David Cutcliffe Era at Duke to post 100+ tackles in a season. The list includes Michael Tauiliili (140 in 2008), Vincent Rey (109 in 2008), Abraham Kromah (129 in 2010), David Helton (133 in 2013; 134 in 2014), Kelby Brown (114 in 2013), Dwayne Norman (114 in 2015), Joe Giles-Harris (107 in 2016; 125 in 2017 and Ben Humphreys (106 in 2016). In addition, Quansah is just the sixth linebacker in the Cutcliffe Era to post 100+ tackles and 10.0+ TFL in a season, joining Tauiliili (140 tackles & 13.0 TFL in 2008), Rey (109 tackles & 10.5 TFL in 2008), Brown (114 tackles & 11.0 TFL in 2013), Humphreys (106 tackles & 11.0 TFL in 2016) and Giles-Harris (125 tackles & 16.0 TFL in 2017).
